"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you at the proper time,
casting all your anxiety on Him,
because He cares for you."
1 Peter 5:6-7
And while in the out-door furniture department we ran into Chloe, a friend who we know because she's a barista at Starbucks. She was so sweet and encouraging, and said she would pray for me, and would get her family members (or something like that) to also pray. I'm finding that the more people I can talk to about this problem, and the more who say they will pray for me, the better I feel.
We finally got the chairs into the car - not easy - and went home. I laid down and Riley put the chairs the back yard on the upper deck. After a while I got up and went out to see, and then I laid down in the sun, with a gentle breeze in the air, and it was positively wonderful. Riley soon joined me, and we did had a lovely time just enjoying the weather and each other.
We were going to go to the Multnomah Bible University graduation, so see our friends Jake and Merideth Greer graduate, and I know I should probably eat, so I decided that a poached egg on toast with hot milk would be doable, and Riley made it for me. It was lovely, but I could only eat half, and Riley finished it.

We headed out for the graduation at 6:30 with the graduation at 7:30. After sitting outside in the garden I was feeling much better, and more relaxed. The church (Rolling Hills) is enormous, and the parking lot looks like one for a mall. Riley dropped me off at the door while he parked the car, and I sat on a bench with a mom who had flown in from Japan to see her son graduate. Riley parked the car in Joshua 6, and then we went in to find a seat. We got a great seat - really. I was so nice to be a a Christian graduation. We sang "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God", and I got a bit teary eyed. I always enjoy the commencement speach, this time by a Professor Banks (something like that), who seemed like quite a guy. But by the time all the under-graduates had gone by, I was feeling very tired, and we slipped out. Before we went Riley sent Jake a text message saying "Congrats! Jake and Merideth, husband and wife" He said it that way because the announcer person for got to add the "husband and wife."
One thing that really caught my attention, two actually, during the graduation was (1) the idea that when you are doing the ministry God has for you, you will really love doing it, and (2) that Multnomah was starting a distance learning program. Without a doubt the ministry I liked the very best was grading exegetical papers. I thought if I come out of this alive I would really like to see if I could get a job at Multnomah grading papers.

We stopped at Mio Gellato for a small dish of gellato (I picked mango) on the way home. I think that Riley is concerned about getting me to eat. Then as soon as we got home I went straight up stairs to bed, and fell fast asleep, except for when I woke up in the middle of the might to have a small panic about my fate, and think of all that went awry in detecting my condition.
"A mighty fortress is our God,
A trusty shield and weapon;
He helps us free from every need
That hath us now overtaken."
Martin Luther
